Ronald Hensley began his career in direct sales with HMI in 1985. Over the years, he built and led successful sales organizations, rising to Vice President within his first year and becoming a Regional Distributor four years later. After his company was acquired, he was promoted to Division Supervisor overseeing Tennessee, Georgia, and Florida. In 1991 he built a thriving division of 28 offices.
In 1997, he accepted a position with Tri Star, in 2020 he shifted from floor care to water treatment. He is currently operating and growing his water treatment business. As a seasoned businessman and investor, Ronald immediately recognized the value and potential of the Solar APU System and the meaningful impact it could have on efficiency and long-term operational success. He is married to his wife, Florenda, and together they have five children and sixteen grandchildren.
William “Rod” Lovell is the inventor of the Solar APU System, a solution designed to maximize fuel efficiency while significantly improving truck driver comfort and reducing long-term operating costs. With decades of experience managing businesses, Rod set out to create a more efficient trucking operation without sacrificing the well-being of drivers.
After extensive conversations with trucking companies, drivers, and mechanics, the concept for the Solar APU System took shape. Rod determined that no diesel or traditional battery-powered APU could match the efficiency, return on investment, and reliability of a solar-powered system—something he confidently describes as a matter of simple math.
Rod’s professional background includes serving as CEO of EPA Inc. from 1991 to 2001, followed by years as a show host on national shopping networks such as Ultimate Shopping Network, and America’s Value Channel. He later served as Managing Director of RA Express from 2017 to 2023 and as a Professional Lab Assistant at North Georgia Technical College. Currently, Rod has returned to television, as a show host for Gem Shopping Network, a leading, Omni-channel platform for fine jewelry and colored gemstones in the United States.
Outside of his professional work, Rod is a dedicated family man. Together with his wife Amie, they have four children.
